Thomas D. Box
President
Tom Box has been working with a variety of clients since 2002 when Box International was formed; however, Tom’s experience in the cement industry includes BoxCrow Cement Company. In 1982, Tom’s father Cloyce Box, and Trammell Crow, then the largest real estate development developer in the world formed BoxCrow with Tom as President who was responsible for all aspects of developing a modern Greenfield cement plant including site selection, raw materials evaluation, permitting, design, construction, operations and management as needed for a 1,000,000 TPY plant and 125 employees. Prior to BoxCrow; Tom’s cement industry experience began in 1975 when he joined OKC, a company formed by his father Cloyce. OKC originally started with the design and construction of plants in Oklahoma and Louisiana, but expanded into other cement markets throughout the US as well as other industries to include refining, Gulf of Mexico dredging operations, sand and gravel operations, crude oil pipelines, transportation and trading, oil and gas exploration and production in the Continental and Outer Continental Shelf USA, Australia, North Sea, Ecuador.
Alvin James Bradford (“Jimmy”)
Training Specialist, Operations Technician, Safety Officer
Mr. Bradford’s cement industry experience dates to 1986 as a Control Room Operator for BoxCrow Cement Company and thereafter for Holcim USA. Mr. Bradford is also a certified MSHA trainer and provides the design and implementation of safety programs. With over 27 years of cement industry experience, advanced training and international experience, Mr. Bradford has demonstrated a consistent record of achievement in identifying and resolving virtually any challenge to be encountered in the cement industry.
Pompeyo Cabilan
Electrical Engineer
Mr. Cabilan has over 30 years of experience in the cement industry beginning as Chief Electrical Engineer for Continental Cement Corp in Norzagaray, Bulacan, Philippines, Electrical Design Engineer for Kaiser Cement Corporation, Electrical Engineer for the construction of a 1,000,000 TPY cement plant, Indarung III B Project, Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia, Chief Electrical Engineer for BoxCrow Cement Company, Corporate Engineer, Centex Cement Enterprises and HI Cement in charge of Process Automation and Instrumentation Engineering.
Walter Kilroy
AIA Construction Supervisor
Mr. Kilroy received a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University and has over thirty years of experience in the design and layout of cement plants and related architecture. His expertise includes building design construction management, construction and manpower budgets, and monitoring work in progress and feasibility studies. Mr. Kilroy has extensive experience in construction, quality control and supervision, as well as project management. He has wide international experience having worked in The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, and North America.
Christian Leube (“Chris“)
Mechanical Engineer
Mr. Leube received a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Vienna, Austria and Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Santa Barbara, California, USA beginning his cement industry experience in 1998 as Assistant to the Technical Director and Kiln Engineer at Zementwerk Leube/Tagger Kalkwerke. Thereafter, Mr. Leube joined Buzzi Unicem as Process Engineer, Production Manager and Optimization of Production, followed by Production Manager for National Cement Company, Lebec, California.
George B. Minervini
Environmental Compliance Supervisor/Geology, Hydrology
Mr. Minervini received a B.S. in Geology, State University of New York, and a Master of Science in Geology, from the University of Montana, Montana Tech. Mr. Minervini has over 30 years of experience in project management for environmental, geology and geotechnical projects including environmental impact studies, risk assessment, subsurface investigation and remediation, mining exploration and production.
Lauro Pulido
Project Specialist
Mr. Pulido graduated from Pan American University in 1979, beginning his cement career with Holcim in 1987 as a Laboratory Technician and became promoted to Control Room Operator in less than two years. In 2002 he was promoted to Senior Maintenance Planner and in 2006, Plant Operator/Production Supervisor for Holcim.
Arthur Vannucchi, P.E.
Lead Training Instructor
Mr. Vannucchi received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and has extensive international cement industry experience including the development of new cement plants and major equipment installations in over 40 cement plants located around the world. From 1983 until 2004 Mr. Vannucchi was in charge of the training on behalf of the Fuller Company, later to become F. L. Smidth Training Programs regarding every aspect of the cement manufacturing process.
Steven Randall Walser (“Randy”)
Management and Systems Operations Consultant
Mr. Walser received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Chemistry from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and has over 30 years of experience in the cement industry. He began his cement industry experience in 1981 as Plant Chemist and Assistant to Quality Control for Ideal Basic Industries, Castle Hayne, North Carolina plant. In 1983, he transferred to the Portland, Colorado plant Quality Control Supervisor and by 1987 promoted to Production Manager. In 1995 he was promoted to Plant Manager and Vice President of HolcimTexas L.P.’s 2.2 million TPY plant in Midlothian, Texas (previously BoxCrow Cement) and was part of the team with the 2.2. Million TPY second line extensions. In 2000 he was made Plant Manager of Holcim Groups Ciments D’Obourg, in Belgium. In 2002, he then became Plant Manager for CEMEX’s Brooksville, Florida 1.2 million TPY plant and later at Clintchfield, Georgia, 850,000 TPY plant. From 2005 until April, 2016 Mr. Walser was Plant Manager for Martin Marietta Midlothian, Texas (formerly TXI) 2.8 million TPY cement plant.
